Our new time accommodation system in Qmax empowers schools to provide personalized support while maintaining consistent assessment standards, particularly for students preparing for exams and their boards.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Faculty members can now set individual time accommodations for students through the <a href=\"https:\/\/faculty-portal.scholarrx.com\/students\">Organization Roster<\/a> page. These accommodations\u2014available in 1.5x, 2.0x, or 3.0x multipliers\u2014automatically apply to all faculty-created timed tests, ensuring consistency and reducing administrative overhead. Once set, the accommodation becomes part of the student&#8217;s profile, eliminating the need to adjust settings for each new assessment.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-3454\" src=\"https:\/\/scholarrx.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Accommodations.gif\" alt=\"Setting time accommodations in Qmax Management\" width=\"820\" height=\"509\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">This systematic approach helps institutions:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"[&amp;:not(:last-child)_ul]:pb-1 [&amp;:not(:last-child)_ol]:pb-1 list-disc space-y-1.5 pl-7\">\n<li class=\"whitespace-normal break-words\">Maintain compliance with accessibility requirements<\/li>\n<li class=\"whitespace-normal break-words\">Ensure consistent application of accommodations<\/li>\n<li class=\"whitespace-normal break-words\">Reduce administrative burden on faculty<\/li>\n<li class=\"whitespace-normal break-words\">Support students more effectively<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"text-xl font-bold text-text-200 mt-1 -mb-0.5\">Enhanced Communication with Automated Test Notifications<\/h2>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">We&#8217;ve also implemented an automated email notification system for faculty-created tests. The system sends notifications 48 hours before scheduled test times, giving students adequate preparation time while remaining flexible enough to handle schedule changes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">These notifications include:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"[&amp;:not(:last-child)_ul]:pb-1 [&amp;:not(:last-child)_ol]:pb-1 list-disc space-y-1.5 pl-7\">\n<li class=\"whitespace-normal break-words\">Test details and format<\/li>\n<li class=\"whitespace-normal break-words\">Mode (timed, untimed, or tutor)<\/li>\n<li class=\"whitespace-normal break-words\">Direct access links<\/li>\n<li class=\"whitespace-normal break-words\">Start and end times in the student&#8217;s local time zone<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">For tests scheduled with less than 48 hours&#8217; notice, notifications are sent immediately upon test creation. The system also sends updated notifications if a test is modified and republished, ensuring students always have the latest information.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"text-xl font-bold text-text-200 mt-1 -mb-0.5\">Improved Question Management in Qmax Create<\/h2>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">We&#8217;ve also upgraded our Qmax Create platform, enhancing content attribution and version control to support the development of high-quality assessment items.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-200 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">Enhanced Author Attribution<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Recognizing the importance of faculty contribution in academic settings, we&#8217;ve implemented a new author attribution system. Questions now display the original author&#8217;s name on the <strong>My Questions<\/strong> page, maintaining this attribution even when the question is revised by others. This feature:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"[&amp;:not(:last-child)_ul]:pb-1 [&amp;:not(:last-child)_ol]:pb-1 list-disc space-y-1.5 pl-7\">\n<li class=\"whitespace-normal break-words\">Recognizes content creators<\/li>\n<li class=\"whitespace-normal break-words\">Facilitates quality tracking<\/li>\n<li class=\"whitespace-normal break-words\">Supports academic accountability<\/li>\n<li class=\"whitespace-normal break-words\">Helps institutions track faculty contributions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-200 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">Streamlined Version Control<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">We&#8217;ve introduced more flexible version control for questions in development. Authors can now delete question versions that are in <strong>Approval<\/strong> status and have never been published. When a version is deleted, its number becomes available for reuse, maintaining sequential version numbering for better organization.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">For example, if version 12345.2 is deleted, a new version created from 12345.1 will reuse the 12345.2 designation.
